Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine (Book 1 in The Great Library Series) *Review*

Thank you Berkley Publishing for sending me a copy of Ink and Bone in exchange for an honest review. (4/5 stars)

Originally I wanted to rate this book 3 or 3.5 stars.  It started off a bit confusing to me in terms of how things worked, the items, and the world. As the story went on though it quickly became a 4 star read.  And as the characters and world developed and more of the inner deceptions of the library were shown, I got hooked.

The truth was what the library wanted it to be.

Lost Boy by Christina Henry *Review*

A Peter Pan retelling?? Sign me up!  Thank you Berkley Publishing for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.  It was a very dark, yet fun read that told the story of how Captain Hook came to be and how he isn’t quite the villain of the story we think we know so well.  While Peter Pan isn’t really the hero we all love and his island holds more troubles than fun adventures.

Wonder Woman Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo *Review*

I really, reallyyyy enjoyed this book.  And while I would love to give it 5 stars on principle because it’s WONDER WOMAN, I have to stick with 4 stars, which still means I REALLY LIKED IT, how could you not?  Badass females, diversity, humor, greek mythology, adventure and action, yes please! But, I wasn’t left feeling blown away and there was one thing I was a bit iffy on, but *shrug* this book is still amazing and you are crazy if you don’t pick this one up!

Warcross by Marie Lu *Review*

Probably my favorite read of 2017 so far!! From page one I was immersed into this brilliantly colorful futuristic world created by Marie Lu.  Seriously, that world building though, holy cow.  A story about a female hacker and bounty hunter in a world dominated by virtual reality and gaming, an unknown threat on the virtual world mixed with a dash of romance…  Yup, I’m hooked.  Every time I opened this book I sped through it.  It is an action packed story full of twists and turns, leaving you wanting more, I promise you won’t want to put it down!

The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh *Review*

3 out of 5 stars.  Here’s the thing I thought this duo logy was magical and beautiful. I adored that it was set in a different place within a different culture than I usually read. The descriptions down to the clothes and weapons and food were really well done and I feel like I learned a lot. Which made this a really fun read.
