Thank you so much TLC Book Tours for sending me a copy of this book and for having me on this tour! I haven’t read J.T Ellison yet, but I have really been wanting too so I was excited to get my hands on Tear Me Apart. I really liked it and even though I thought it was a little long and the mystery was given away too soon I still thought it was a good read! I also really appreciated the authors note at the end and that automatically added half a star to my rating. So I ended up giving this 4 stars!
Thank you so much TLC Book Tours and Thomas Nelson for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and for having me on this book tour!
Starting off with a bang, I was immediately drawn into the danger surrounding Shauna and her family with a murderer on her tail. I wanted to know who the killer was and why they were killing. However, although the beginning pulls you in the rest of the book is a little disjointed and didn’t always feel convincing at times. I rate this mystery 3 stars.
The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz is weird in a way that makes you unable to look away, it draws you in and before you know it you’ve devoured this dark tale in one sitting. With definite “Flowers in the Attic” vibes this book will grab you from page one and make you question what is right and what is wrong all the way until the very end. I rate this unique story 3.5/5 stars!
Tom Malmquist writes a heartbreaking fictional story based on what he experienced in his own personal life. The grief he deals with is profound and what he has to go through in the wake of that grief is almost unbearable. A touching story with insights into the Swedish culture, though the writing was not my favorite, I rated this book 3 stars.
Following four best friends over the course of many years, this book explores hard topics such as abuse, miscarriages, and betrayal, but even more importantly tells the story of love, friendship, and family. I give this genuine story of friendship standing the test of time 4 out of 5 stars!
Do we ever truly know the people we are closest too? Best Friends Forever explores the haunting realities of the deception and lies of those closest to us all while keeping the reader guessing until the very end, “who dun it?” A quick read because you won’t want to put it down, I rate this thriller 4 stars!
The Chalk Man is my first read of the year and I am so glad it was! An easy 5 stars. This fast paced mystery hooked me from chapter one and kept me guessing until the very last page. As much as this is a mystery it also reminds us that all of our choices and decisions have consequences. What we choose to do and to tell others has just as much impact on our lives as what choose not to do or tell. A very important lesson wrapped up in a creepy, page turning, mystery.
“What shapes us is not always our achievements but our omissions. Not lies; simply the truths we don’t tell.”
Following the lives of two different women intertwined by a single house, this story touches on the changes and daily struggles experienced through different stages of life. A heartwarming story with out all the drama, but all the realities of life and lovable characters I rate this book 3.5 stars!
