Until the Last Star Fades by Jacquelyn Middleton *Review*

Thank you so much Jacquelyn for sending me a copy of your book in exchange for an honest review!  I was so excited to find out Jacquelyn had a new book coming out after loving her duet “London Belongs to Me” and “London, Can You Wait?”.  “Until the Last Star Fades” had all the great qualities of Jacquelyn’s contemporary romance writing and I really enjoyed it.  I ended up giving it 4 stars out of 5!

“You are my first, my always.”

“You are my last, my always.”

Scream All Night by Derek Milman *Review*

Thank you so much Harper Collins Teen for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!  For some reason I went into this thinking it would be a haunted house story haha, but alas it was not that.  What it actually was, was a unique coming of age story set in a mansion that’s the production house of horror movies with an assortment of eccentric characters.  It was a lot different from the many coming of age stories I have read and because of that I found it really refreshing even with the typical YA cliches thrown in.  I give this one 3.5 stars!

What Blooms From Dust by James Markert *Review+Book Tour*

Thank you so much TLC Book Tours for sending me copy of this book and for having me on this book tour!

From the second I started reading this book I had a southern twang voice in my head narrating as I read.  I loved that this book sucked me in to the Dust Bowl era and Midwestern vibe.  Slow moving but filled with hope and forgiveness I gave this book 3.5 stars.

All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover *Review*

Thank you so much Atria Books for sending me a copy of Colleen Hoover’s newest book, All Your Perfects in exchange for an honest review!  I won’t lie when I say I squealed so loud when I opened this bit of mail.  I love Colleen Hoover and was so excited to see her newest book, which just came out July 17th, waiting for me to read.  I wasted no time and cracked this baby open and dove in and as per usual I fell in love.  I give this 4.5 stars and hot dang I will be swooning over Graham for awhile.

Tell Me Lies by Carola Lovering *Review+Blog Tour*

Thank you so much Atria Books for sending me a copy of this in exchange for an honest review and for having me on this book tour!  I knew I would enjoy this book when I read the synopsis, but I wasn’t one hundred percent sure what to expect.  I was not disappointed.  I went into it thinking it was going to be sort of like a contemporary thriller for some reason, I knew there would be a darkness about it.  And while it didn’t turn into a thriller it was still dark and completely addictive.  I give Tell Me Lies four wonderful stars!

My Name is Venus Black by Heather Lloyd *Review*

Thank you so much Penguin Random House for sending me a copy of My Name Is Venus Black in exchange for an honest review.  This debut novel was emotional, full of second chances and forgiveness, I really enjoyed it and gave it four stars!

The View from Rainshadow Bay by Colleen Coble *Review+Book Tour+Giveaway*

Thank you so much TLC Book Tours and Thomas Nelson for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and for having me on this book tour!

Starting off with a bang, I was immediately drawn into the danger surrounding Shauna and her family with a murderer on her tail.  I wanted to know who the killer was and why they were killing.  However, although the beginning pulls you in the rest of the book is a little disjointed and didn’t always feel convincing at times.  I rate this mystery 3 stars.

The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz *Review+Book Tour+Giveaway*

Thank you so much Harlequin Books and TLC Book Tours for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, and for having me on this book tour!

The Lucky Ones by Tiffany Reisz is weird in a way that makes you unable to look away, it draws you in and before you know it you’ve devoured this dark tale in one sitting.  With definite “Flowers in the Attic” vibes this book will grab you from page one and make you question what is right and what is wrong all the way until the very end.  I rate this unique story 3.5/5 stars!

Beartown by Fredrik Backman *Review*

This book, wow, I finished over a week ago and yet I couldn’t get myself to write a review right away.  It still brings tears to my eyes and tugs on my heartstrings.  I almost don’t know how to review this because any review I write will be insufficient.  This story is powerful, emotional, and important.  Characters written only the way Backman can write them, a story line that draws you in slowly and impacts you for long after, and an author that is nothing short of inspiring.  Another favorite book has been added to my shelf, 5 whole beautiful stars.

“You might be playing with bears. But that doesn’t mean you have to forget that you are a lion.”
