Until the Last Star Fades by Jacquelyn Middleton *Review*

Thank you so much Jacquelyn for sending me a copy of your book in exchange for an honest review!  I was so excited to find out Jacquelyn had a new book coming out after loving her duet “London Belongs to Me” and “London, Can You Wait?”.  “Until the Last Star Fades” had all the great qualities of Jacquelyn’s contemporary romance writing and I really enjoyed it.  I ended up giving it 4 stars out of 5!

“You are my first, my always.”

“You are my last, my always.”

Thank you so much TLC Book Tours and Graydon House for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and for having me on this book tour.

Following four best friends over the course of many years, this book explores hard topics such as abuse, miscarriages, and betrayal, but even more importantly tells the story of love, friendship, and family.  I give this genuine story of friendship standing the test of time 4 out of 5 stars!

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco *Review*

What do you get when you blend together unsolved historical cases, women fighting societal expectations, and romance?  Answer; an incredibly fun mystery that you won’t want to put down! Stalking Jack the Ripper is fresh and spunky and I enjoyed every second of the adventures with Audrey Rose in the late 1800’s.  While at parts a little slow and maybe a tad predictable I rate this exciting debut novel 3.5 stars!

“What is a man’s soul made of that a woman’s is not?”

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins *Review*

Thank you so much PenguinTeen for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review!  I am stuck between a 3.5 or 4 star rating.  So on my Goodreads I have it rounded to 4 Stars!

I had a really fun time reading this book and I won’t lie when I say I jumped a little that night after I finished reading, worried there was someone lurking around.  You know when Halloween time starts to roll around and you just want to sit and watch some slasher movie that isn’t the worlds best, but it is just so perfect for the time and mood?  Thats exactly how I would describe Stephanie Perkins’ newest novel.  A high school slasher with your average dose of romance and sex and tons of gory bits to keep you on edge.  While the exact reason behind the killings and some of the “secrets” leave a little to be desired, the overall experience was fun and well worth it.   I soaked in this bloody, thrilling read in a day and I enjoyed every second of it.

The Awkward Path to Getting Lucky by Summer Heacock *Review + Book Tour + Giveaway*

5/5 stars!  Thank you TLC Book Tours for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Any morning that starts with me in a backless gown and my bare ass on a  tissue-paper-covered exam table is not a good day.

I loved this book.  I flew through it in one sitting simultaneously laughing hysterically and drooling from hunger.  Broken lady bits, a close group of friends, and delicious cupcakes makes for the perfect recipe of this hilarious debut novel.

Broken Bay by Andrea Dunlop *Review*

4.5/5 stars.  Thank you Andrea for sending me an advance copy of your novella in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this novella!  Here’s the thing, I don’t read novellas often and when I do I don’t really enjoy them as I find the story to be undeveloped and not well written.  However, this novella had me hooked from page one and the writing kept me speeding through so I finished this 94 page mystery in an hour.  A story about a bachelorette party in a supposedly haunted house on a secluded island and the bride to be goes missing, yup this is a fun story for any mystery lover!
